As chairs of the Tri-State Conference planning committee, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the 20th annual Tri-State ASBO conference in beautiful Portland, Maine. This is a monumental year for Tri-State as we celebrate 20 years of successful professional development.

The entire Tri-State Planning Committee has prepared a conference that will undoubtedly provide opportunities to learn, network and sharpen your skills. We have listened to your comments from past conferences and hope you will be pleased with the changes we have made this year. We will once again be enjoying a boat ride to Peaks Island for a wonderful Lobster Bake. Tickets will also be available to prolong your stay in Portland to see the Red Sox Double A team the Portland Sea Dogs on Friday evening with food and fireworks.

We encourage everyone to take the time to visit with our very supportive vendors on Thursday afternoon. They are a vital component which allows the committee to plan and put on this incredible conference year after year.

The conference theme this year is in celebration of our 20th anniversary. We will spend some time looking back at our history and those that have been along for the ride. Please make sure you sign the poster board and let us know how many years you have attended this conference.

As school business officials, we are always in pursuit of higher levels of achievement in our work of supporting Pre-K-12 education. This Tri-State conference offers something for each of us that can contribute toward our preparedness to face new challenges and to be more effective in facing the recurring ones.
